Butterflies Take Flight

The treasure hunt continues! There are so many things around the house that can become art. This past week, I had a chance to experiment with repurposing crayons.

We seem to have an endless supply of broken crayons, and I found a few websites that suggest melting them together to make new round crayons.

They came out looking like very pretty versions of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. But the round shape wasn’t doing much for me.

I broke them into quarters, rearranged a little, and voila! I had butterflies!

Come find me at the next Marietta Square Artists Market on July 28, 9am-2pm, with my pretty butterflies.
