Racing through the unknown,
I forgot to stop and look
At the view.
The shifting hue,
Sparks that flew, fresh and new,
Decorating my landscape.
A gentle breeze where
Flowers grew;
Electric blue, stirring up
My garden of lost wishes.

Cyan has been my favorite color to use lately in my art. I titled this piece Electric Blue, hoping it would inspire a poem. This first attempt sounds a little forced to me, based on a list of words that rhyme with “blue;” but it is growing on me.

Love the colour! I once had a bass guitar in Cyan and bought stagewear in black and cyan to complement it!
Its a vibrant art piece, shelley, and it reminded me of the Bowie lyric from “Sound and Vision”…
“Blue, blue, Electric blue, is the colour of my room, where I will live…blue, blue…”

Oh! I love that song! Thank you Kev. I hadn’t even made that connection. Now I’ll be humming Bowie all night 🙂
Do you still have the cyan bass?

I have a Teal green one now, but sadly the blue one has moved on to pastures new, as it was in the days when I couldn’t afford to collect them! Somewhere I have a pic of me playing it, I’ll dig it out.

Your colors put me under a charm and the verses convinced in the reality of the wonder that was revealed to me through your artwork. That’s wonderful.
